The 2nd Test between India and Australia ended in 3 days at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, with another win for India, this time by 6 wickets. India now leads the Border – Gavaskar Trophy 2-0, with another 2 Tests to go.

Australia won the toss and decided to bat first, with Matthew Kuhnemann getting his first Test cap. Australia were all out for 263, Usman Khawaja 81 and Peter Handscomb 72*. Mohammed Shami took 4 wickets 60, while 3 wickets each for the spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.
Replying for Australia’s first innings 263, India managed 262 all out in their first innings. India were 7 wickets down for 139, before Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin rescued the innings with a 114 run partnership for the 8th wickets, bringing India’s total to 253 when Ashwin got out for 37 runs. Axar Patel was out in the following over for a valiant 74 in 115 balls. Nathan Lyon took a 5 wicket haul for 67 runs.
Australia starting their 2nd innings with one run lead were all out for mere 113 runs in 31.1 overs. Travis Head 43, Marnus Labuschagne 35. Ravindra Jadeja took 7 wickets for 42 runs, ensuring him a ten wicket haul in the match. Chasing a target of 115, India reached home with 4 wickets down. Cheteshwar Pujara 31*. Nathan Lyon 2 wickets.
Ravindra Jadeja was named the player of the match for his ten wickets haul.
The 3rd Test will start on 1st March at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.
